Disappointed with the lack of flavor and options in grocery stores, she started researching the fundamentals of how to make plant based meat . With countless hours in the kitchen she began to perfect her craft.
Having explored a wide range of plant-based options available, Chef Sunflower was dissatisfied with their blandness, limited variety, and often subpar textures. At "BTW, It's Vegan," we specialize in creating unparalleled, flavor-rich dishes that are completely soy free and nut-free while providing a unique culinary journey for our customers.
Shon "Chef Sunflower" Emanuel, who started as a paramedic before becoming a self-taught chef and restaurateur, founded "BTW, It's Vegan" due to customer demand for a wider range of vegan options at her restaurant, Supreme Oasis.
